Home
Home is where you start the day. From the top: your day in short, Focus today, the Week ahead, what happened since you were last here, Your projects, and All my work. In a new workspace, the getting started guide comes first.
Your day, in short
Section titled “Your day, in short”The first card sums up your day in a few plain sentences, for example One item is late and holds up Launch the client portal. Two are due today. Anna is waiting for your reply. It is written from your items, not by AI, so it is instant and costs nothing.
Next to it:
- a ring that fills as you finish what is due today (and what is late),
- Overdue, Due today and Done this week.
When the assistant is on for you, the card also has a question box and a few ready questions, such as What is at risk this week?. Brief me at the top asks the assistant for a short brief on your day. Questions use your AI credits like any other question to the assistant.
Focus today
Section titled “Focus today”The few items that matter most today, as large cards. WORK³ picks them in this order:
- items that are late,
- items where someone waits on you (a mention or a question in a comment),
- items due today,
- items that hold others up (other items wait on them),
- items that are ready to start because what they waited on is done.
Each card says why it is there and offers the next step: Done, Tomorrow (moves the due date), Reply or Start. Click the title to open the item. The ✕ on a mention or a ready item dismisses it. The first three cards show; Show more shows the rest. With nothing urgent, the card says so and shows what is next.
Week ahead
Section titled “Week ahead”Today and the six days after it, with your items due each day. A ◆ marks a milestone. Click an item to open it, or a day to show only that day in All my work.
Since you were last here
Section titled “Since you were last here”What other people (and workflows) did in your projects since your previous visit, grouped by project: new items, comments and status changes. Your own changes are left out. Coming back within half an hour keeps the same starting point, so a reload does not empty the list. Open Inbox shows everything.
Your projects
Section titled “Your projects”Up to four projects you have items in (or have starred), as cards with their progress, how many items are yours and the next milestone. All projects opens the project list. A guest sees every project they are in. Waiting on others under the cards lists items other people own that hold up yours.
All my work
Section titled “All my work”The full list, with four tabs:
| Tab | Shows |
|---|---|
| Assigned | Open items assigned to you |
| Created | Open items you created |
| Following | Open items you commented on or were mentioned in |
| Done | Items you finished in the last two weeks |
Use Group by to group by due date, status, project or priority. Tick the circle to complete an item. J and K move, Enter opens and C makes a new item.
Getting started guide
Section titled “Getting started guide”In a new workspace, Home starts with Get your workspace going: a checklist that ticks itself off as you work.
| Step | Done when |
|---|---|
| Create your first project | The workspace has a project |
| Add a few items | It has three items or more |
| Invite your team | Someone else is a member, or an invitation is open |
| Give items an owner and a due date | An item has both |
| Ask the assistant (optional) | You have asked the assistant something |
| Automate a step or connect an app (optional) | The workspace has a workflow or a connected app |
Steps you do not have permission for are left out, and so is the assistant step when the assistant is off. When every required step is done, the guide goes away by itself. Guests do not get the guide.
The person who made the workspace also gets a short welcome the first time, while there are no projects: pick Onboarding, Integration or Empty and Continue to make the first project, or Skip / I’ll look around first.
To hide the guide, click Hide guide. Turn it on again in Settings → My account → Preferences → Getting started guide on Home. An admin can turn it off for everyone in Settings → General.
Right-click
Section titled “Right-click”Every part of Home has its own menu on right-click:
| Where | What the menu offers |
|---|---|
| An item row | The usual item actions, plus Deadline (Today, Tomorrow, Next Monday, No date) and Go to the item’s project |
| A focus card | Open, the deadline, and Dismiss for a mention or a ready item |
| Waiting on others | Open the item, open your item that waits on it, or Message the person who has it |
| A day in Week ahead | Show only that day, or make a new item due that day |
| Your projects | Board, list, overview, files, open in a new tab, favourite |
| The empty part of the list | New item and Group by |
New items made from Home start as To do, so they show here right away.
Only items whose status counts as To do or In progress show on Home. See Labels.
