Attio

Connect Attio and a won deal can start a project in WORK³, and the project’s status is shown on the deal. Your contacts and client data stay in Attio. WORK³ works just as well without it.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Attio and click Connect Attio. You need the Connect integrations and rules permission.
  2. Sign in to Attio and allow WORK³ in the workspace you want to connect.

WORK³ then reads your deal stages and adds two attributes of its own on deals: WORK³ status and WORK³ project. It reads deals, companies, people and members. It writes nothing else, except what workflow steps you build ask for: Update deal (stage, value) and Add note (see Workflows).

Under Settings on the Attio page, choose the Stage that means won. WORK³ suggests the stage whose name says won, such as “Won 🎉”.

Under Settings on the Attio page, pick Tags on new projects among the workspace’s tags. Every project created from a won deal gets them, so you can filter the projects page on, say, Sales. Add new tags under Settings → Labels first.

Click New rule and choose Create a project when a deal is won. Pick a template if you like. When a deal reaches the won stage:

  • a project is created with the deal’s name, and the deal’s company as client. The client links to the company in Attio, with the Attio icon;
  • the project gets the deal’s value and currency, and the deal’s first associated person as client contact. If you have added a close_date attribute on deals, it becomes the start date;
  • the deal owner leads the project, when they are a member of your workspace with the same email;
  • the project links to the deal.

A deal only ever starts one project, even if it is moved out of won and back again.

WORK³ status on the deal shows how the project is going, for example Active · 3 of 10 done, and WORK³ project links to the project. Add them as columns in a deal view to see them at a glance. They update as work is done. Changes made to them in Attio are overwritten.

Reconnect on the app page signs in to Attio again and sets everything up anew: the stages, the two WORK³ attributes and the webhook, which replaces the old one. Use it if the app page shows an error.

Disconnect stops rules and status updates, and WORK³ removes the webhook it made in Attio. Projects that were created stay, and so do the WORK³ attributes in Attio with their values, which you can delete there.
