Boards
A board shows a project’s items as cards in columns, which WORK³ calls buckets. Drag a card to another bucket to change it. A project can have several boards, for example one per team or per way of looking at the work. On a phone the board shows one column at a time; swipe sideways to move to the next.
Create a board
Section titled “Create a board”Open the board menu next to the board’s name and choose New board…. Give it a name and choose what the columns are:
| Columns | One bucket per |
|---|---|
| Status | status in the workflow |
| Buckets | column you make yourself, for this board only |
| Person | assignee |
| Priority | priority |
| Type | item type (tasks, bugs, epics …) |
| Tag | tag |
A template makes the buckets once. After that you rename, reorder, add and delete them yourself.
What a bucket stands for
Section titled “What a bucket stands for”Each bucket can stand for a value, such as the status In review or the person Anna. It then shows the items with that value, and cards dropped there get it. A bucket that stands for nothing is a free bucket. Items that fit no bucket gather in No bucket.
Right-click a bucket header to rename it, move it left or right, change what it stands for, or delete it. Deleting a bucket moves its items to No bucket; it never deletes items.
Filter and search
Section titled “Filter and search”Use Search items, the person filter (Everyone, Mine, Unassigned or someone in particular) and Filter to narrow the board. Clear filter shows everything again.
Swimlanes and display
Section titled “Swimlanes and display”Under Display you can:
- add swimlanes: rows by assignee, priority, type, tag, status, epic or project,
- choose density: Comfortable or Compact,
- choose what shows on the card: cover picture, ID and type, tags, description, priority, due date, sub-items, attachments, links, comments, status, last changed and assignee.
Back to the default resets the display.
Quick look
Section titled “Quick look”Hover a card and press Space for a quick look without opening it. Cards that wait on open items carry a Blocked mark.
